We only entered Stuck on Star Wars into three film festivals because we didn't have the money for more entry fees. We were in the middle of getting ready to start production on Grassfire and we really didn't think the festivals would be to kind to us. Well six months after submitting it, we discovered we were wrong. I wish we could go back and do it all over again.

KAN Film Festival (June 1st, 2002) - 3rd place, Comedy/Drama over 30 minutes

Dead Center Film Festival (June 8th, 2002) - 1st place, Sci-Fi/Star Wars)

I sent an email to Theforce.net and told them about our Falcon we had built. Well they put the story on their website and within a few hours mentalwardfilms.com had over 100,000 hits. Then the publicity band wagon started. In a two week period I did over 40 radio station interviews and was covered by USA Today and Comedy Central. It was the most exciting time in my life. We we litterally popping up on website everywhere.
