Ariel 'Struhar' Tyson

Ariel 'Struhar' Tyson debuted her acting talent in a community theatre play, "A Little Princess", at the age of 10. Just two years later, Ariel won a national teen title with the prize being a trip to the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. There she "cleaned up" winning numerours awards including a gold medal in humorous acting. Ariel continues to act, but her greatest passion is ministry to teenage girls. This passion began during her pageant experiences. Ariel has been competing in pageants for 11 years and has won several titles including; Tiny Miss America, Miss PA Jr. Teen, Miss PA Teen, National American Miss Jr. Teen. Most recently she was crowned Miss Greater Springfield, which allowed her to compete in the Miss Virginia pageant, a preliminary to Miss America, where she placed as a top ten finalist. Ariel retired her pageant career when she happily married the love of her life on December 29, 2007.

Worst job: I have not had too many awful jobs, but I would say probably when I worked at Hershey Park because it was hot standing outside all day for the whole summer.

Favorite Memory from Bamboo Shark: When I had to fall into years of piled up bird poop in one of the warehouse scenes lol! But realistically, I enjoyed the times that we, as cast members, could use the camera to videotape behind the scenes events.
